Tires Hankook or Falken
Consider the Hankook Ion HT on 21\u201d. They are wonderful by every measure including price, warranty and efficiency.
On a stock ’24 SR5 4x4 with 18” TRD Pro wheels, the biggest you can usually run without rubbing is 275/65R18 it fills the wheel well nicely and still clears at full lock.
Falken Wildpeak AT3W surprised me they cut through that slick layer way better than expected and stay predictable in rain
Very happy with the Hankook ion Evo AS SUV on the Ariya. The grip is much better in all conditions, even snow. Very quiet, and range has been similar to the Dunlops.
Honestly, if you want something that’s actually good and won’t punch your wallet in the face, Falken and Kumho are the two I recommend the most. They ride nice, last a long time, and don’t have that cheap-tire sketchy feel. Falken is usually the sweet spot solid grip in rain, quiet, and priced way lower than Michelin/Continental.
Hankook winter icept evo3 were the only options when I was in the market for new winter tires in 235/35R19 and 295/30R19 last year.
For long hot summers, they’ll work, but you’ll get better dry grip and road feel from something like the Hankook Kinergy 4S2. Those hold up better in heat and don’t get as squishy.
I had AT tires on my Cherokee, they were fine in the winter, though not as good as true winters. But I never ran into any problems with 4x4.
Falken WildPeak AT3W Tires
I blew my Falken at 8k miles. They're trash.
The Falken tires are indeed terrible. Mine needed to be replaced at just 18K miles. I recently opened a case with Mazda Corporate and they ended up reimbursing me for about 60 percent of my Michelin CrossClimate2s. The process was quick and their customer service was excellent.
