Tires Hankook or GENERAL TIRE
I've also used General Altimax Arctic with studs, they were really good all-round winter tires but they were annoyingly loud on the highway and they were more comfortable on snow and ice than dry pavement.
I replaced them with General Altimax, dealer reccomended them. I have about 10k on them and like them. Took them on some mild-moderate off-roading out in the Mojave the other day and they did amazingly well for road tires.
Last winter on my stock garbage Hankook all seasons my 4mo handled the snow like a champ. I would not be worried in a major metro area running good all seasons [like Continental DWS or similar] year round.
RS4's are going to be your best bet. I haven't bought track tires since RS3 >>> RS4, but the RS3's are an amazing tire for the money. Best thing about Hankook RS's is that they maintain decent grip through lots of heat cycles meaning you can run em to the cords.
I have about 5000 miles on General AS-05's, 235/45/18 mounted on Prismas. Love these tires.
I've had General (altimax, loved those)
The noise on the RS-RRs is the single worst ive ever run. If they are half as loud as the RS-RR im already sold. For the price the RS-RR is a great track day/autocross tire although they are not top tier(RE-71R/Rival) around my region.
An alternative to the Indy 500 tires is the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. I have them on both of my cars and love them, although they are just a little bit on the noisy side.
I would pick the Ecopias, they are reviewed much higher than the Kinergy tires on tire rack (but far from the best). I got the Kinergys on mine and they are ok, but if it rains they are not the best and slip easily.
So I had to unfortunately change two of my 215/60R16 General Altimax RT43 95H tires because I hit a huge pothole that put a bulge on the side of the tire.
