Both sizes are available in Hankook RS4. I've driven mine into the 40s and they're fine.
my mum has these Hankooks on her Peugeot 308 and they also seem to be okay for the price ... haven't driven much with it personally in the winter but i didn't hear her complain either
EDIT: I bought Hankook Winter i\*cept RS3s, they are silent comparing to Kinergy Eco 2. I am happy that I did not buy allseason for winter, this year seems to be more almost ice roads then previous years, these feels good even on wet road.
2022 Model S Plaid purchased used and needed new front tires. Picked me up a pair of Hankook Ventus iON A 101Y 265/35/R21. Brand new from eBay purchased pair for under $300 !!!
Hankook Ventus V12 EV02. Hankook's have became my favorite tire in the last few years after doing tires/mechanics for 20 years.
In comparing equal sizes, the EVO3 appears to be heavier, have more stabilized treadblocks, and stronger sidewalls/belts, but made with a softer rubber compound. Probably a better tire for track use.
I've seen similar sentiments online about Pirelli that didn't really match my experience. Most of my favorite driving sets of tires have been Pirellis. Not necessarily best by the numbers, but by how they felt on some of my more communicative cars on the road.
I've owned both. The only advantage to the Pirelli is that they are a little more comfortable. The Michelins are better in every other way.
There is a chance they worked better in very hot climate but in the mild Pacific North West they didn’t perform well. Half the performance for half price. Once I switched to Michelins all traction problems went away.
The only general consensus is that Pirelli is the worst tire you could buy. I have had the worst experience with pirellis that came on a car I bought.
