Tires Hankook or YOKOHAMA
I have Hankook tires on my '77 Town Car. Miles above the 35 year-old Michelin Xs they replaced. They are quiet and grippy in the corners.
I've driven Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2's my dad's 993 quite a bit. No complaints, they work fine for highway cruising/spirited driving.
I had a set of Hankook Winter i*Pikes, and I liked them. Not as grippy as Blizzaks or Toyo G-02s, but they were also fairly cheap.
I have the IceGuards on my RWD Solstice GXP and they've worked great over the past two snowy winters. I haven't noticed any problem in the wet either.
I have ice guard on my car with no issues. Handles pretty damn good when dry cold or hot
I have the Hankooks as well and overall I like them. we have pretty smooth roads around here so they are pretty quiet. I didn't have any issues during this past El Niño.
I'm running the V12 evo2's right now, JB1. For daily use, I couldn't be happier. They've all but completely solved my traction issues in 2nd and 3rd gear. Still have to ease into it a bit in 2nd, but 3rd can go WOT ~3k rpm.
Second set of Hankook Ventus Evo2 purchased. Good tire for price. Just be sure to rotate em as I didn't (got a nail in one; plugged) and fronts got killed while backs still have plenty of tread (25 k on em).
The Hankooks are great daily driver tires, but after running one autocross on them I was not happy with them for performance driving. I have them on my BMW.
VW used the Hankook Optimo tires in Canada as the OEM tire on our Golf Sportwagen. One of the worst performing tire I've ever owned.
