Tires Hankook or YOKOHAMA
I love the Hankook Dyanpro AT-M's on my 4Runner, they might be what you're looking for but there are several good options out there. They've been on my truck for 12,000 miles and as of last week they all had 7/32" tread left so they should last a while. Noise levels and wet/snow traction is very good as well.
Hankook’s VentusPrime 3 is a solid tyre and won’t break the bank. When my mother was changing away from her Goodyear EG’s like you have at the minute, they’re what I stuck on for her. Solid tyre with solid reviews behind it.
I had Ventus V12's on my M3 and my brothers Passat came factory with Optimos and both have been/were decent tires.
Ventus Prime 3 is a solid tyre. I stuck them on my mothers car and they’ve been good. Touch quieter than the Goodyear tyres before.
To my relief, no signs of a downgrade going from Michelin to Hankook. Tyre wear might even be slightly better on the Hankook.
Yokohama S drives are pretty cheap now since they are an "older" tire design. I really like them on my fiesta, plenty of grip, and I'm getting decent mileage out of them.
Something I can personally recommend is the Hankook Ventus v12 Evo2. Great tire and around the same price as the firehawks. Going to perform a little better than the firehawk but not supposed to last as long. TireRack has the Hankooks listed as a "Max" summer tire with a life at ~20k miles(Firehawks tire life supposed to be around 30k). I've put just under 15k miles on them with 2 auto cross days and wouldn't be surprised if they lasted longer than 20k. Got them for $460 mounted and balanced, out the door.
Generally these purchases have been stuff that there was no way whatsoever to get locally: Yokohama AVS Intermediate in my 240SX's stock 15" size.
I have the V2 Concept2 all-seasons on my Mazda3 and the Ventus V12 Evo K120 summers on my Mustang. You really get what you pay for. The Concept2's have good ride and noise, but the wet performance is abysmal. The Ventus V12s are a decent performance tire but they greatly lack the dry grip of Pirelli P Zeros or Michelins.
I had the Ventus V12 Evos on my Focus ST, and I didn't like them.
