I run snows on the '03 Outback and the '21 Mazda, I have a very early, 20+ mile commute to work, and live in the snow belt. So, roads are generally not plowed. They both do great on unplowed roads.
I use kumho w my sportage. Theyre quiet and lasts long.
4 brand new oem Kumhos for my forte installed where right at $480 out the door.
Budget for snow tires. AWD is not magic, and you generally can't use chains with AWD systems. In terms of cars, Subarus are good and reliable. I've owned two Foresters.
They are very comfortable and quiet. But sidewalls are soft so this is not a sporty tire. Can't comment on threa dweare and winter performance as i have them for a month.
Replacement rear tyres wearing incredibly well (Kumho) and will likely do another 15,000 miles

My Kumho Crugen tires lasted 32k miles.
Skoda Octavia Neuwagen wurde mit kumho ausgeliefert. Der reifen ist für mich Lebensgefährlich im Nassen. Absolut 0 traktion nur am rumrutschen.
I have a 24’ n mine came with the same exact tires. A lot of ppl complain about them, including me. For a top trim, it sure is disappointing to have such low quality tires. They do not have good enough traction for the power input these cars have.
