We have the Michelin CC2s. They are great in dry weather and snow. I love that I don't have to swap snow tires on the car anymore.
I bought a set of Bridgestone Weatherpeak tires from Costco for around $700. They're three peak snowflake rated and are quiet. They do well for me in the PNW.
Very happy with my Michelin Crossclimate 2s. Quiet, fuel efficient and very durable.
I just installed 4 of these at Costco this week on my 2018 Camry SE for about $750 before tax(Memorial Day sale) I’ve only driven about 50 miles this week but I think they are pretty solid. No noticeable road noise compared to my old tires (hankooks before these). The tread is huge and rated for 80k miles so these are going to last me quite a while barring any bad flats/etc.
Inner rear tires were down to the cords so I needed new tires. Had an alignment done with the adjustable arms and wanted to go wider to fill out the rim and provide some curb protection.
No efficiency data yet but it's so smooth and quiet compared to the stock tires.
Brother, be realistic. Your Michelin Road 6 is no track tire. Far from a high performance tire that anyone should be running crazy high speeds on! That is 100% patchable and would be just fine for the life of the tire.
I have Michelin cross climate 2's. Been about 3, maybe almost 4yrs now. About 35k miles put on them. Maybe a bit more? Threads are still pretty good.
If you only do pavement the michelins are by far the best quiet and smooth. Also do great in snow an water.
I've had my Alenza A/S ultras for just under 30k miles and they're effectively done. They were great tires but didn't last anywhere close to the 80k miles. I drove in dry, wet, hot and cold conditions, on good roads and bad and had no issues other than wear.
Cross climates. Weatherpeaks wear out too easily. I hate them
