Tires MICHELIN or Continental
I'm based in Toronto, Canada, and I have two sets of wheels for my 2024 GTI. The summer set consists of 17 inch wheels with Conti Extreme Contact II tires. These are pure summer tires, very quiet and excellent traction.
I have a mich cruiser 3 up front and cruiser 2 in the rear. I will never run another brand. Great in the wet.
Yes I just switched this weekend from the Pzero runflats to Michelin PS4S. So much better, way more comfortable over bumpy roads and better around corners too.
i love my Michelin Defender 2, they aren't the sportiest of tires, but darn are they great GT tires (decent economy) and have decent tread for dirt roads. Only down side is that tread does have the tendency to grab on to the smaller rocks that jettison off later down the road once you hit black top.
Michelin pilot road 6; you won't regret it.
I have continental tires after the OEMs needed replacement-
Very happy with them - mileage etc no change that I can see - quieter also
I have the factory Michellin E. Primacy on my highland RWD and quite impressed. A good all round balance of wet and dry grip and efficiency. Not too far off the PS5 I had on my old car but I wouldn't track with them. Good enough to have confidence on the road though.
I have them on my model 3. I think they are a tad quieter but small efficiency loss noticed. I mean minuscule. Have about 1200mi on them but enjoy it so far.
Maybe I just got lucky. I used to always get Michelin's, but my CC came with Conti (Pro Contact I think), so went for them again, and then picked another Conti that is a little sportier (not DWS06, just PureContact LS), and they have been OK. Steering feel hasn't been as good as with Michelin, but I did not experience any problems.
I just got these tires for my cx50 235/65/17 and I’m experiencing the same thing! City driving 50mph and under is great! High speed when it gets 60-65mph+ is where it feels shaky for me.
