Tires MICHELIN or Firestone
CC2. Sharper handling than the stock ProContact TX and superior in bad weather (standing rain water and snow.)
Lots of snow here in WI this winter so far. My hybrid with CC2s (with 30k on them) has been a champ
Those are good tires but way too heavy at 44lbs vs 24lbs for stock tires. They will kill your mileage and performance. I went with Firestone destination at2 in 235/65 r17. Only a few pounds more (28lbs) than stock and they perform great!
I have the crossclimate2’s on my Mac and I love them!! Have had absolutely zero issues!!
Just replace the stock tires with Michelin Cross Climate 2s very good all season tire. Has 3 peak winter rating.
I just switched over my 2024 M40i square set up run flats to non-run flat Michelin Pilot AS. The ride is fantastic.
michelin cross climate 2s!!! can’t say enough good things about them. whenever there is bad weather i’m always watching other people slide around and im just chillin driving normally
You won’t regret switching to the Michelin CrossClimate 2s. I’ve been running them year-round on my 2020 G01. I live in Montreal, and this is my third winter with these tires. I’ve never had any issues and even drove to Florida twice during the holiday season. Ride quality is awesome and the traction is great, even in deep snow.
I’m also in Chicago, bought the same tires, and just assumed I was heavy footed and that’s why I was can’t break 3.0 mi/kwh even though I’m not that bad. Didn’t realize the tires themselves were less efficient. All that being said I home charge so by my math it’s like 80 dollars extra a year of electricity to avoid the more expensive tires.
They're not good in the dry and wet in my experiance. I came from Pilot Sport AS4 and when pushing my car on highway entrance ramps the CC2 always will trigger traction control whereas the AS4 never did.
