Tires MICHELIN or Hankook
I have Defender 2s and still have 7mm of tread left after 80,000 miles. They've been great so far.
Something like the Michelin Defender is a safe bet and I've run those on Rav4's before.
Michelin Cross Climate 2's........been a great tire so far, got about 1000 miles on them.
Bit late but wanted to share my experience after having to get new tyres after a puncture a few weeks ago. I usually go for the cheap tyres, Achilles which were around $180AUD each. I couldn't find anyone supplying Achilles tyres in my rim size so I decided I'm going to try something a bit more expensive and replace all with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 which cost me $500AUD each. They are amazing tyres. They are so much more quieter, more responsive in corners (can take corners faster and sharper) and the ride is so nice. Even accelerating has less lag and more grip. It feels like a completely different car.
Michelins. Expensive but the best set of tires you'll ever drive on.
They are the most quietest well balanced and slow wearing tires (as long as your on pavement) I think I've ever had. They handle like a dream.
Hankook Ion EVO AS. They just released these specifically for EVs.
It has made my car so much better in terms of road noise and comfort. It beats out the Pilot 4S in every aspect except stopping strength. I had to get used to the longer stopping distance but that was easy. Weirdly enough, it seems to handle corners better because there is less skidding.
After much searching, I replaced my worn tires with the original MXM4. Pricey yes, but they are excellent tires and worth the extra dollars for the extra range (independently verified).
My Ion’s are about to be replaced at 40k km’s (25k miles), which is around what I’ve been getting on my Performance (with 18” wheels). New Zealand has rather coarse roads tho…
Nope - CC2's kill mileage.
