Tires MICHELIN or Hankook
I went down a size to 17 inch and got the Michelin x ice snow. I believe these and the blizzak ws90 are the top rated so get whatever is the cheaper option or has stock.
I had x ice on my accord and they were solid with great tread life.
I had the road control 2 all seasons on my cx5 and was averaging 27-28 mpg. I put the defender 2 on, averaging 30-32 mpg now. Check it at the pump to compare with the computer and the vehicle was off 0.5 mpg.
We opted to buy the oem Michelin tires. Costco sells the oem tire at a good price. Figured no reason to change what isn’t broken
Anyone put crossclimates on theirs? I can't stand the way they look, but they're great tires by all accounts. And michelin gives you free roadside assistance when you buy a set, so I don't have to buy CAA (AAA down south).
I bought enkei 17s and Michelin x ice for winter. It was a lot easier to get tires and also doubles as a good rim for cheap track tires also if you want as 215 17s are pretty common
45k on my ions. Probably have about 5k left. Will definitely be getting them again. They have been fantastic!
Happy to report I am now at 70,366 miles on the car, so about 28K miles have been driven on these tires. Tires are working well, with no complaints. No noise issues, they don’t seem to have gotten louder since day one. Grip is fine. Most important, unlike my OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires… I’ve had no sidewall bubbles or other issues. I highly recommend these Hankook tires.
I got 19's with cc2's on MYP I get MAYBE a hair better efficiency over the the 21 ubwrturbines. They also have a decent amount of annoying whirring/road noise :/ but winter performance should be great.
Not worth the premium tbh. I have them and once you’ve had a flat or two, it sucks to replace them.
Just get some other non run flat
