Tires MICHELIN or OEM Honda
I have 19 in wheels on my lux and found Michelin lattitudes would get 40+ Miles.
I run Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s all year round in the UK with no issues. Good tyres.
I highly recommend Michelin A/S 3+ all weathers. They are amazing, my only issue so far is that they’re a little loud (road noise in the summer), but they have incredible grip, and seem to hold out great given the crazy weather.
Have you experienced any issues with the Michelins? I run them and they have been flawless.
I never had to use more than an ounce and a half on any of the name brand tires I mounted. Never needed more than a half ounce on Michelins.
I went with Pilot Sport 4's, as the 4S isn't available in 18" size. Absolutely fantastic tires. They have more grip and feel in the wet than the Nankangs that the car came with had IN THE DRY. You can really play with the too, when it's wet. Doesn't really eat the surface then, and the car is very controllable and fun to drift. In the dry they are amazing. Can't even compare them to anything else I've driven. Comfort and noise are good on the road, and the tire is stiff enough to take it to the track occasionally.
I got 35K miles on my 2012 OEMs GYs and bgt michelin Lattitudes as replacements that had 30K+ miles when I traded in for emissions scandal and they still had plenty of thread. They are not bad considering the weight of the car.
I run 205/50/R17 Michelin X-Ice XI3s on OEM Silex rims. It has been worth every damn penny in snowy and icy conditions. The extra impact absorption on late winter frost heaves and potholes is icing on the cake.
I’m running my winters on 18” wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4. It’s Michelin’s performance-oriented snow tire. 235/40-18. Loving it.
I did 215/45/18 xice3 on OE wheel for more sidewall, If I did it again I would do stock size 2254018. I lost a little bit of responsiveness/ punch from the 1/2\" taller overall diameter and also some curb protection from the 1/2\" narrower tire.
