But the best set I have ever owned was a set of Michelin Defenders. Smooth and you always felt glued to the road.

I have Michelin Defenders on my ‘17 Jetta and they’re great.
Sailun pricing is really good, and some of the posts i have seen do indeed say range has increased. also, compared to what came on the car, the tire is indeed quieter and smoother.
Great tire, long life, smooth quiet. 80MPH, 110mile per day commute no complaints. Decent in snow and rain too (we live in northern NM). We were concerned but they are just as good or better than your average name brand tire.
Really liking the road 6's, although I'm not doing 10% off-road. These have been fine in light gravel fwiw.
I valued snow traction over rolling resistance and got Michelin CrossClimate 2. I’m very happy I did. They are wearing like iron and gripping in all conditions.
I opted for Michelin pilot sport 4S. And I'm so glad I did! Quiet, sticky, hyper responsive, and with a 30k tread wear warranty. So far, I'm really impressed.
I have Michelin tires as/4 now and I do not see/feel enough difference to warrant the extra money over the kumho
Th Michelins that came on my wife's '12 Escape hadvcracked sidewalls. There was an issue with some Michelins back then. Her tire model was in the recall, but not her size.
