Tires Nexen or Nokia
Do your self a favor and buy a good set of studded snow tires, like Nokian Hakkapellitta’s for this drive. They’ll definitely save you some misery, and help keep you safe
I had some on a Kia Soul. They were fine. Lasted 45,000 miles. If I was on a tight budget I would look at them.
They have solid pricing, I got a set of Nexen tires last year and they rock.
I decided to invest in some snow tires (Nexen Winguard Sport 2) to swap out the all seasons once the snow hits and that was also a win!
I use OPD on my Bolt EUV 2023 and it works wonderfully so far. We've had tons of snow and all sorts of crappy road conditions lately in Southern Quebec (I live in the country, not the city), so I have a pretty good sampling. Reminds me when I had a manual transmission.
My Nexen winter tires are fantastic. Highly recommended
Ours is a tank. Running on Nokian R5s and compared to my old RS5 with winters, it’s as good as the Audi.
I have Nokian Hakkapellita R5s on my winter-driven sports car and they are way too squishy and comfort-focussed.
Tires are low quality , made in Russia where no natural rubber found to make. Drove 1 day after replacement on unpaved rd . Tires are bubbled. Had to replace
Horrible tires. I have had 2 side wall blow outs with these tires, one on a very busy highway, late at night and almost got unto a horrible accident. Avoid these tires at all cost.
