Tires OEM BMW or Vredestein
i have been running the Quatrac Pro on my WRX for a couple years now and they're awesome. The Vredesteins are very competent--excellent traction both wet and dry, quiet, and rated for high performance. Good wear, too
Happy with them so far, 1K miles in. Quiet, dry and wet grip for days, decent rolling resistance. Great for warm/hot climates.
Vredestein Wintrac Pro, Tire Rack sells them.
I just got a 24 mach-e and will be buying these, I live in Michigan. Had a set on my wife's Explorer and they were grest. Online reviews are great and they are also cheaper than all comparable competitors. Do your own research to be sure but I was very happy, so much so that I'm going to buy them again for my Mach-e. They are also rated as a performance tire.
I got a set of 155 R15 Vredstein Sprint Classics by mail order when they were on offer for about £50 a corner, then got them fitted locally - have been great tyres for my '72 1300.
I have the Quatrac Pro on my Mercedes E Class. I like the ride and handling and haven't noticed any noise in the time that I have had them.
I can say that I really like my Hypertrac All Seasons. I would absolutely buy another set of Vredesteins that review/test well.
They're gonna be good tires. Vredestein has been moving toward the high end market and it looks like they're trying to make a statement with this one, judging by the reviews. I'd say go for them! Honestly if I had heard about these when I was shopping I'd have bought them.
They are excellent IMO, feel just as good as my previous Conti DWS, but I got these for a much better price, from TireRack. They are a European company, great quality tires, just a lesser known brand here.
Great all year round, I'm in the Northeast, they ran beautifully over the winter.
I had the Vredestein Sportrac 5 previously.
Positives:
+ Quiet and smooth ride
+ Very reliable on flooded highways
Negatives:
- Soft sides, tires looked deflated at the recommended pressure (2.2/1.9 bar - if the car is not loaded, which is most of the time). If I inflate more the drive gets extreme hard and uncomfortable.
I have not driven a lot of tires but wonder if that soft side somehow dampens accuracy?
- Surprisingly bad at braking on the dry, even at low speed in the city, they slide.
The sidewall is thin af on these tires. I’ve had 2 blowouts so far after 10k or so.
