I'm using the Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR, in 32mm, because it was top rated for puncture resistance in a tubeless tire. It's not as fast as the Conti GP 5000 S TR, and it may even cost more, but if you're looking for puncture resistance above all else, you should consider them.
Go for Pirelli if you want more durability, Longevity and easier mounting if tubeless.
I ride on Pirellli road 25c tires for years. I had finally replaced them last year. They ride nice and had good traction. I don't think the Conti is worth the money. They seem wear quicker.
I’ve been happy with the Pirelli’s easy to mount and good puncture protection while feeling fast.
I run the pirellis p zero 4s and love them comfortable and roll really well.
Opposite datapoint: I run Pirelli Race TL Rs 700x30s on my Gen 7 Madone (tubeless FWIW). Way more comfy than the OE 25s (R3) and faster.
I work in a limestone rock quarry and I have Falken Wildpeak AT4 on my truck and they have been excellent. I am about to buy some for my personal 3500 AT4 because the wrangler that are on it are good ties I'm sure, but they give a very stiff ride quality. If they can stand up to my work environment they will stand up to anything I would need in my personal vehicle.
Replacing mine tomorrow with Pirelli scorpion Weatheractives. Tires are fine but I need a more versatile tire for winter and I'm hoping they will help with the road noise too.
Pirelli are overpriced junk. Especially the scorpions.
I have the TRD Rav with the 18” Falken Wildpeak A/T 01A tires (stock). I have 25k miles - almost all highway - and the tires only have 3/32” tread left.
