Tires Pirelli or Goodyear
check out the Goodyear Eagle GT's. $500 a set. 225/45/17 Best new w rated all season tire out there now. Plus there half the price of many others in its category. i love mine.
Both my cars wear Pirelli Winter Carvings in the white stuff. Very happy with those tires.
I got the same exact set up on my wife's Jetta. Good tires for all season driving, very sticky with awesome handling in the rain/snow and great handling when dry...
Goodyear Eagle F1's ftw!
16" OZ F1 Cup Kit wheels with Pirelli Tires rated for 40,000 miles. Still under 9,000 miles.
I'll 2nd this. A lot of people say the sidewalls are too soft for a performance tire, but I think they are plenty responsive and they have nearly endless grip. Wet performance is nothing short of phenomenal too. Another selling point: They are amazingly quiet on the highway. Much quieter than the Dunlop SP Sport 8000's I had on prior.
100% Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s Only summer tires I buy anymore. I've had them on a D2 A8 and loved them, now they're on my GTI in 235 35 19 still lovin them. They are expensive and wear relatively quickly, but they have superior performance in wet and dry weather.
The Pirelli PZero Nero M&S is a ULTRA PERFORMANCE tire [one step down from the MAX PERFORMANCE] and is an all-season tire, which is a compromise in handling compared to the Kumho MX's.
The Factory 18" tire is the Pirelli P6, not rated so well either but not anything as bad as those Goodyears.
Had the same thing happen at 1400 miles. GY replaced my tire for free because it had less than 1400 miles on it. They then sold me the tire protection plan....fast forward 15000 miles and I get 2 more bubbles.
