thankfully i opted for the wheel / tire protection and that paid off. ive had every tire replaced at least once, and finally just switched to pirelli's which i have loved for the past year and a half.
I have run P7s on over 4 different cars and I love them for all seasons. However, the Sottozero high performance winter tire rocks!
The closest you'd get is a set of Pirelli slicks for track/race use, or P-Zero Trofeo if you wanted something road legal.
Although [Pirelli P-Zeros](https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-ww/car/find-your-tyres/products-sheet/p-zero#/overview) are a pretty amazing street tyre that come on a lot of new high performance cars
I'm running the stock Pirelli P7's that came OE on the car. Currently have 7100 miles. Pressure set to recommended 37 Psi. Tires are quiet and smooth around town and on most roads. Quiet at HWY speeds as well, except on concrete where they seem to drone a bit. No perceived harshness (to me) on nearly all surfaces.
I had the Nero Zeros on mine and went 40K just fine. Only at the last 10K did I start driving around with more racing and sliding etc and the tires got bald super fast lol for a daily they will be fine.
I'm on the Cinturatos and although they are a marginal tire the car is rock solid on the freeway.
I haven't had any issues with vibration, but have noticed more road noise on my Pirellis after 20 K. Probably won't get another set.
The Wanli S1088s I got were brand new when I got the Rims and tires from a buddy that sold his wrx, they're starting to have the notorious road noise, I'm guessing I'll need to replace them by next august so the noise doesn't drive me nuts.
I had Pirelli Winter Carving Edge tires on my MK6 for four winters - they sucked!
