I love my Yokohama Advan Flevas. I run them on my NA with NB wheels 195/50/R15
Another vote for the yokohama advan flevas, I love mine in 205/50/15 for year round driving and they're great in the rain here in Oregon.

Yokohama tires. I love yokos. They have a great balance between cost, wear, and feel. We usually get a 3PMS variant of some sort. Currently CV4S models on the 19 XC90.
I go through 2-3 sets a season on my C5 z06. I consider it the price to be competitive in CAM.
I've heard they don't last long but they are doing great on my Lotus Elise.
I still love the R1Rs, but they are not good in the wet, IMO. I'll throw in a +1 for the Yoko AD09s.... they grip somewhat better than the R1R and are way, way better in the rain.
I my area I could’ve almost gotten four Yokohamas for that price, including mound and balance. So yeah, I think he shafted you.
The worst tire had to be Yokohama geolanders. They would break traction so much in the rain it was terrifying.
