Tires Toyo or GENERAL TIRE
I got the Toyo ultra z900 for my 3, and put 114,000 miles on them. They were only supposed to be 80,000 mile tires. And they still had a bit of tread.
I have a set on my cummins, 30k miles and still a lot of life, great in snow, on road, light trail use. The treads don't clear as easy as I would like.
Have had them on my 80 LC in Austin for almost 2 years. Holding up well.
They are a great winter tire I run them on my yj and I’ve been through over 3 feet to snow with them on but they tend to clog up in thick mud
I have these tires on my xj and I love them. Really good on and off road, however are a softer tire than the ko2 so might not get as much life out of them.
Right now I'm running [General Tire Altimax R43s](http://generaltire.com/tires/passenger-and-minivan/altimax-rt43). Most people aren't familiar with General, even if they are one of the oldest tire companies out there.
I run grabber at2s on my Wrangler. 35x12.5x15. Weight was actually a major factor in going that route. After checking all the competitor weights the grabbers are the lightest. They are also modeled very similar to The BFG ats and they perform excellently on road and snow. I use my Jeep for daily driving in Michigan and sand dunes/two tracks on the weekend and I have zero complaints.
Cragar Soft 8's, BDS 2in BL and some big Toyo Open Country MTs.
I have the Altimax HP on my jetta right now. They ride smooth, but has some road roar noise- but not overly bad. Handling is decent and wet traction is very good. Only complaint is that it has been balanced 2x now and I still have vibrations (only) at speeds above 70mph.
Tire is rubbing! (only when I turn) My attempt at rectifying the problem. Installed BFT fit blocks and it still rubs. Cut the fender liner and it still rubs. I returned the wheels and tires.
