Tires Toyo or GT Radial
For myself and my family, I highly recommend GT Radial having used them in Indonesia when we lived there (it's originally an Indonesian brand).
I have the Adventuro ATX's on my Frontier and have 0 complaints. 17,000 miles on them and still showing tons of tread left, no vibes and no noise. They were beasts in the snow and still ride perfectly smoothly. I would 100% buy them again.
Got the new Toyo Open Country AT III EV tires. They ride A LOT SMOOTHER.
I know this is an old thread but everyone in it was wrong. The Toyo’s are far in away better at dry grip than ps4s and better for track days as they are far less likely to chunk under heavy loads for multiple laps. It’s faster in the dry than a pilot sport 5 which is faster than a 4s.
On the Forester I put some Radar branded tires on. They were the cheapest Mud + Snow three peak rated tires on Tire Rack. Car drives fine but they are LOUD. I thought a wheel bearing was going out as soon as I put them on (and I'll probably just proactively change the wheel bearings anyways). On the Econoline I got some Ironman tires. Honestly they seem fine, but the van doesn't have the smoothest ride and has a lot of stuff inside bouncing around so I can't judge their ride/comfort. One of the tires had a pretty good hop on the balance machine, though. On the Toyota Pickup I have some GT Radials I put on about 5 years ago and they've been great, no issues in the time I've had them (about 15k miles so far).
UK and lots of those are available, I run Toyo R888s on my Elsie and they Road Legal (I sprint/hillclimb in a road legal class)
GT radial UHP AS tires are like $70 a tire, and more than good enough for the street. I even took them on track for a session, and while they are a bit floppy, they're also way better in the rain and more comfortable than most summer tires.
They are decent. I’ve ran the AS 4, Proxes and also the Extreme Contact DWS before. I would call the AS 4 and Extreme Contacts a tier 1 All Season tire, and the Proxes tier 2. The Proxes aren’t bad by any means but the dry grip isn’t on the same level as the other two especially at colder temperatures.
However I think the biggest factor is these Toyo tires simply are not good tires. They are noisey. I am getting WAY to much noise on highway. Over 36 they are to stiff and noisey, they actually "howl" and even at 35 these Toyo just seem iffy.
Nothing. Worst all-season tire ever.
