Tires Toyo or NANKANG
Toyo open country ct are a super durable tire. I've got 60k on my set now and about to replace. Never lost much tire pressure and I've got 3 deck screws in 2 of them that I cut off rather than plug. Couldn't be happier, great grip and look 275/70/r18
I like the Toyo AT-2or3 good and grippy in slop, hardly any road noise that I've noticed on the highway.
I don’t think I’ll run a different tire on my crosstrek again
So for I like them more than the ko2s. They seem more quite over the ko2s. I think they are a thicker ply tire than the ko2s and can support more weight as well. I get about 20mpg hwy at 79mph.
If you’re looking for a great off-road, snow tire that’s also good on pavement and doesn’t hum like crazy might I recommend the Toyo open country AT 3.
By contrast, the Toyo Celsius has not only been tested in the winter, but it even performed well on ice. (Well, at least as well on ice as a non-winter tire can possibly do.)
I’d love to try a bunch of different ones, but I’ve liked the Toyo GSI-6, had a nice sized tire to fit a 19” OZ wheel set I picked up
I was not able to find falkens for the size I was looking so switched from Yoko a052 to Nankangs… very happy so far … was able to close the gap in my group by 3 seconds …
I got a set on some wheels I traded. I think NS7000 is on the sidewall. They are alright, they are round and black. I haven't had a flat and I go into the uber crappy Boston roads all the time, no bubbles no tread defects. They are just run of the mill budget tires. Would I get them again? Probably not. Can I find anything to complain about? Not really.
I had General's in that size on my old GTI. Awesome tires, but they've gone way up in price since then. After that, I had a set of the Nankangs. Crap tires and the road noise drove me insane. Would not recommend.
