The glass is not great, at least that’s been my experience for my M3. It’s gotten to the point that I’m getting too good at those repair kits.

4 windshields in 2 years for my 2022 540i. Always been a vey small rock with a chip on the edges.

This latest 2022 540i has been the worst on windshields. I’ve never once cracked a windshield. I’m now going on my 4th windshield in two years.
Cons: frequent cracks, fragile, worst experience

I’ve replaced 5 windshields on my 2015 Forester ! It even looks at a rock and it cracks.

2021 X3. Ive had four windshield replacements this year! I have had one replacement in 25 years on other cars, and now my BMW seems to get impacted by every single flying rock. I too avoid getting close to trucks and cars, and it still occurs :(

Windshield protection plan is mandatory for me and it’s probably going to be a cycle of new windshields until engineering can thicken them without compromising eyesight visibility. Between the car lot and DMV I was chipped. Any car with such camera input output capabilities seems to have weak ass windshields

My 2024 Sport is 7 months old and several chips keep appearing. My 2013 Outback never had windshield pits as bad as this one.
