Windshield OEM Honda or Pilkington
Definitely get aftermarket windshield. Pilkington is the one you're looking for, they're much stronger than OEM glass and eyesight works perfectly
I had my windshield replaced about 2 years ago by Safelite with Pilkington glass. They calibrated the EyeSight cameras, zero problems since then
If you have Pilkington, yes they did you a favor. Original one broke and they replaced it with a good one that is much more durable.
Mine wasn't cracked, but had a lot of tiny pocks in it. He had a new Pilkington and installed it for $185. Sorry you missed out on the good pricing.
Also pay extra for OE glass, the quality difference is crazy even between two pieces of Pilkington glass. They make both factory and after market glass.
I had my e90 with bmw logo changed after a crack at 186,000 miles. I pushed for the oem glass maker that was Pilkington. I made sure to have them order the correct glass, made sure it had the correct factory tint at the top and it had the correct color of tint too.
The OEM glass is nothing special to begin with. I noticed waves and/or imperfections with just about ALL the CRV's when I bought mine (23)...mine included.
OEM glass sucks and pits the easiest. Makes sense because my 07 with 78k miles has way worse glass than my others cars with double the mileage.
The last 2 pilkington I've used for a Toyota did not recalibrate, used pgw for both afterwards and they recalibrated instantly.
In my 2025 Honda I bought in May; I’ve had to replace it twice already. I’m not sure if I even want to replace it again with the 2nd crack.
