I have used Michelin and their winter tyres. Works magic and haven’t spun the pony during winter mix. Summer rain is another matter…
Reviews of spare parts for Ford
I switched from the stock Goodyear tires to E-rated BFG KO2 on my 2015 F150. There is a small but noticeable loss of quickness that you get used to. I also lost 2-3 mpg on the highway. I gained much better flat protection.
I have run Toyo winters on all my F150s for many years and they never disappoint. I live in Canada, so snow is a thing for sure.
On my lightning I’m at 50 Ibs, I know it’s higher than recommended psi, but I noticed tire wear was a problem on these chats. After I increased to 50psi, range increased 10% and tires look great at 34000 miles, half tread left, Michelin tires.
Bought two auto light from autozone to fix a quick misfire. Used it for two years then took it out and saved it. Quick changed two with the auto light I had previously saved. And bought another one at autozone. 2 years later still running good. Gotten lazy to changed them out. But still running good in my 08.
Battery replaced 2–4 months ago with *Solite Brand*.
I came across the Vitour Galaxy R1s — they’re V-rated, which is cool, but I’m not sure if they’re DOT approved. From what I can tell, they’re made by a South African brand (possibly China-owned) and seem to be geared toward drift/race use.
Just wondering if anyone’s actually run these? How’s the grip and overall quality? I’m aiming for a tire that can handle daily driving and still be fun in the corners without dropping $500+ on Avons CR6ZZ
On the way back it started shuttering bad while breaking, especially down hill. I took it back to the place that did the brakes and they said front rotors were overheated. The parts are TRW (pads and rotors).
I do have the exact same size on my 2019 Ford Taurus Limited. Can't remember exactly when I put them on without looking for the tire receipt, but I don't think they're anything special. They wear fast, & to me they're loud. Actually looking for some new tires too. But I know I won't be getting these again.
Recently purchased Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires 285/45R22 for my ford expedition. Extremely disappointed in the loud road noise from the aggressive tread pattern. Which is a common complaint of michelin deep tread patterns and wide tires, even though it's reported elsewhere as a quite tire, (no way). When looking for a quite tire ask or google the "noise rating" of a specific tire before you buy them. My old straight tread pattern tires were quiet on the road.
