OEM Honda Radiator hose
Weak-Oil-8060
Rating 4.0
  • Temperature stability:

Only thing I did to it in the pass 5 years is Slave cylinder, brake hose, clutch replacement, ect sensor, egr, ignition lock cylinder, (someone tried to steal it) driver side window, and just last weekend, the upper radiator hose since it blew out.

Pros: otherwise bulletproof
Cons: needed paint job
Vehicle: Honda Accord
Mileage: 321000 km

MISHIMOTO Thermostat
malaka201
Rating 5.0
  • Overheating:

I have a mishimoto thermostat with their radiator setup. It does kick on the fans on at a lower temp range than when the stock one would which is good. I had issues running hot on the stock rad/thermostat and haven't had any issues since.

Pros: fans kick on sooner, no overheating issues
Vehicle: Honda S2000

OEM Honda Brake pads

For years my brakes on my CRV squeaked. My dad replaced them. A few other people/shops worked on them. Still squeaked. I'm talking YEEEAAAARRRRRS. I resigned myself to being *that person* at every friggin stop light. Needed new brakes again. Unique situation as it was, the Honda dealership ended up doing it. It was like $500 but they stopped squeaking!!!! It was heavenly to be a silent stopper.

Pros: stopped squeaking
Cons: brakes squeaked for years
Vehicle: Honda

Vredestein Tires

Had the Wintrac Pro on my Type R for the past 5 winters and drove them for about 50000km all through central Europe and southern Scandinavia. Never had issues with them, both in the wet and in the snow.

Pros: no issues in wet/snow
Cons: lost grip on greasy surfaces
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 50000 km

Giti Tires

Back in Dec 2022 I bought a new set of Giti E1 tires from a reseller and got them installed with alignment. The tires felt slippery in the wet even after 3 months of usage. I could feel the rear of the car sliding out even when doing 30-40km/h on a wet right bend.

Cons: slippery in the wet
Vehicle: Honda Fit
