The only thing I have had to replace on the car since I bought it was a starter.
Reviews of spare parts for Honda
I can certainly feel the difference between my brothers Brembo with slottted setup vs my boring yet effective Honda oem stuff.
Last winter I threw 4 Altimax arctics on my wife's CR-V. I was so impressed with them I put another set on my STi for this winter. I have used Blizzaks, Arctic Alpin and Toyo Observe snow tires in the past. The Altimax arcitcs are the best by far in deep snow. They are no louder than any other snow tire I have used in the past. They are quieter than the Arctic Alpin's by a long shot though. Those things are LOUD in the rain.
I have a water pump/timing belt job that is going to cost me 1400 to do. But on the bright side it will last me another 60k miles.
The Fit is an awesome car. I have an 09 that has ~66k miles and NOTHING has gone wrong. Just the scheduled maint., oil changes (10-12k miles), and thats it.
The flywheel is light, extremely light. Engine braking offers the best engine braking in any car I have driven.
The new tires I bought for the Fit's OEM wheels are Hankook Ventus V4 ES. An initial test drive in the Fit was great - smooth, quiet, actually much better at soaking up bumps with these 205/50R16's than with my Yoko 185/70R14 snow tires, which surprised me.
I can only speak re: the PS2's. Had them on my S2000 for track duty. Unbelievable grip once their hot. Key point here. They're risky as daily drivers, and use caution about driving in the rain - it's like ice. If they're cold (like anytime their not warmed by a few yellow-laps), they are slick. Pardon if I didn't read all of your question, if you want the most adhesive track tire out there, go for it. I did use them as daily drivers, they were fine, but could bite you.
they wanted to put an aftermarket bumper on my S2000. I said no and they said \"sir its the law if their as an available aftermarket refurb part, the insurance company can use it\" I said this is absolutely redicoulous and am disgusted with that notion, and in no way will I entertain anything other than what comes with the car off the assembly line.
I had Nankangs on my Honda Civic (195/50/15). They were very hard, poor wet traction, marginal dry traction. I wouldn't buy them again.
