Falken Tires

Rating 4.0
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:

Yup, the Wranglers suck. Thankfully 255/65-19 KO3s coming out soon! And there is enough room for 33s under the new Defender, so 20s aren't a bad option if you don't want to downsize brakes for 18s (on the I6). I'm running AT3s and they are TOUGH. I just need some more sidewall. And it handles/drives so so well. I go from trails to twisties with zero effort or compromise.

Pros: handles/drives so well, zero compromise
Cons: need more sidewall

COMFORSER Tires
Ok_Rub3732
Rating 4.0
  • Grip:
  • Noise:

Id suggest learning ro drive better honestly. Comforser tyres are made in China by a Canadian company and are extremely reliable and cost effective.

Independently tested they are quieter than most and have excellent rating in wet conditions. We fit Comforser CF1100 on our landrover and they perform better than most other tyres in the most challenging conditions.

Pros: reliable and cost effective

Pilkington Windshield

I just had to replace mine. The screen we got was pilkington, who make the OEM windshield but it had no Land Rover branding. It was the latest version where the solar attenuation screen is now totally clear. There’s a little thermometer icon on the screen to indicate that it has solar attenuation.

Pros: solar attenuation screen clear

Cooper Tires

I just put on the Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT last week on my Disco 5. I have done about 150miles on them, mixed surface streets and highway speed (75mph) but no off road yet. They have been good so far, Im happy with them as for road comfort and noise. My significant other didn't notice any difference at all and that confirms my thoughts on good comfort and little noise change. :)

Pros: good comfort, little noise
Mileage: 241 km

Arnott Air springs
Teamjeff4608
Rating 2.5
  • Ride height:

  • Overnight sag:

I bought the old style Arnott air spring and shock absorbers back sometime around 2015ish for my LR3. The ride was slightly stiffer but 100% acceptable. After a year or so the right front started leaking oil and was replaced under warranty. Sometime later both fronts were leaking air & Arnott replaced both under warranty. Since then, it seems like every year or so I have at least one that needs to be replaced due to an air leak. Aside from the first shock, I’ve not had oil leaks or issues with the shock absorber itself. On my last warranty exchange I noticed they no longer have a lifetime warranty, it’s 24mo. So next time I have a failure I’m going back to OEM air springs.

Pros: ride acceptable, no oil leaks (later units)
Cons: slightly stiffer ride, frequent air leaks, warranty reduced

MICHELIN Tires

Rating 2.0
  • Grip:

I had some on my LR4 and they were completely destroyed after 15k miles. Thankfully they had a 60k mile warranty so Michelin paid for a good portion of the Pirellis that went on next.

Pros: good warranty
Cons: destroyed after 15k miles
Vehicle: Land Rover
Mileage: 15000 km
