I've driven about 200 miles on my new Weatherpeaks on my stock Subaru Outback. I was shocked with how good the tires performed in the downpour. On very wet roads with massive puddles, the Weatherpeaks felt like my old tires did on completely dry roads. Grip was fantastic. No slipping at all. Even when I hit really large puddles at speed I didn't hydroplane. The tires do feel slightly "softer" in the turns when its dry than the stock tires but they still feel great...and are a much smoother and quieter ride overall. Even on dry roads I feel like the car has better control.
Reviews of spare parts for Subaru
Some Outback owners are already on their 3rd or 4th windshield in 2 years. So far the only solution is to demand a non OEM third party window replacement. Owners who can convince the insurance to use Pilkington glass for a replacement are having far less issues.
Yeah they use undersized batteries, but just buy a good one and that's the end of it. my 2019 Legacy had is original battery after 4 years when I traded it in.
Have had them for a year or two now. Do the proper break-in procedure and they're a nice upgrade over stock. Honestly don't think anyone needs more for the streets
I’ve used Duralast coil on a bmw with no issue and lasted over 60k when I sold the car. It was identical to the Delphi coil.
I did change the tire out when I got it to Falken Wildpeak A/T’s, so the mileage could be better with different tires. As far as snow and mountain roads, the car work’s amazing.
I can't recommend calling around to other mechanics/dealerships enough. Did the head gaskets on my subie, have done them on all subies, but on the most recent one earlier this year. The range in expected cost I was quoted ranged from 2700-8k. Went with the 2700 option, a local, family owned subaru mechanic, and have had zero issues since.
My car has 20k miles on it, I bought it new, and it's bone stock. The interior rattles like crazy and both my shocks went out in the rear.
I had ordered the OEM Subaru accordion-style one, but it was honestly terrible; really long and rigid, hard to unfold and put up, and very expensive.
Keep in mind I got rid of a 2013 Forester that had the infamous Subaru head gasket issue. Not an issue I want to ever deal with again.
