Chevron Engine oil
4R34
Rating 5.0
  • Engine noise:

I used Costco’s 5w30, Walmart Supertech Synthetic and Chevron Supreme semi-synthetic. The latter is my favorite. I also had Blackstone do a UOA(used oil analysis) and my engine and oil are all in top condition.

Pros: engine and oil top condition
Mileage: 270000 km

PEAK Antifreeze
Gaige_main412
Rating 5.0
  • Temperature stability:

I prefer peak brand 50/50 premixed. The pink or red Asian import coolant is the only thing I would ever put in my toyota or Scion. It's the same stuff that comes in them from the factory with hybrid organic acid technology (HOAT). Coolant not only keeps your car from freezing in the winter, it has corrosion inhibitors to keep your engine healthy.

Pros: factory match, corrosion inhibitors, prevents freezing

Denso Spark plug

I bought the plugs from Toyota (Denso). I asked for the old plugs off. The plugs I got back were NGKs that were installed at the factory. I can’t say I notice a difference really (except new plugs did seem to make a difference).

Pros: new plugs made difference
Cons: no noticeable difference
