immediately replaced rotors/pads and replaced yellowed headlights. All the parts were dirt cheap on Rock Auto.
Reviews of spare parts for Toyota Sequoia
I have a 2015 Sequoia and I use Hawk LTS pads with Stop Tech Sport slotted rotors. A bit more $$ but it’s your brakes, it’s worth it.
I can't think of a reason not to use AISIN with the price being similar to the others. It was when I purchased 6 months ago and I'm greatly pleased with it.
I'm also a fan of the Aisin TKT021 kit. Aisin is the OEM manufacturer of the water pump, and Mitsuboshi is the OEM manufacturer of the actual belt (the belt that comes with the TKT021 kit is a Mitsuboshi).
I used AISIN TKT021 kit and would use that again. I think there might be a few rollers the kits don't include which might be worth replacing every couple of timing belts.
I’ve used the Aisin brand in three different Sequoias with very good results.
I did this a few weeks ago on my '13 Sequoia, but I did not flush it. Just drained the rad and the valves on the block. Replaced with Toyota red and distilled water at 50/50. The fluid I drained was as clear as the fluid I replaced, so I felt flushing was not necessary.
If you're in the market, I highly suggest Bilstein 5100s. I have them on my 1st Gen and love em.
I have an 01 sequoia, so same engine and had to do mine at around 250k. It was starting on its way out, slower cranking, occasionally it just wouldn't crank, just typical issues of one needing replaced.
