The Firehawk Indy 500 tires aren't perfect but they hold up well on a track known for eating tires. Additionally they are predictable in wet/dry conditions which is perhaps more important for learning.

Michelin Premiere A/S tires work very well in light, heavy and even blizzard snow conditions (as good as any conventional tire does on ice).
I was always a Michelin buyer because they were consistently quiet and long lasting offering excellent all around performance. 20,000 mikes ago I replaced the OEM tires on my Mk7 Jetta R-Line with the Turanza Quiettrack and am pleased without any regrets.
You will probably be fine running the Peak stuff if you have to, but I seem to recall a few years ago I was able to purchase Pentosin/Pentofrost from Advance Auto Parts. That was a brand that I saw often on VW parts sites and it meets the standards for using it in the MKIV VW cooling systems, so I went with that.
Stoptech Slotted Rotors, EBC Redstuff pads
Im on my 2nd set of Michelin Premier A/S and I really like them on both my 14 Jetta TDI and my parents 15 Passat TDI. Its a decent budget Michelin that is good for about 50k miles.
I've been running the General Altimax tires. Great bang for the buck.
I never had anything suspicious looking in any of my fuel filter changes on our 2012 JSW... always looked perfectly clean. HPFP failed without warning at 91k.
AWFUL. I have one. Bought it two years ago, 2011 Jetta 2.5SE (had 14k on it when I bought it) and its the worst car I have ever driven. I needed to get something quick because my truck was on its way out, this was cheap figured why not save on gas and try it out. Man, I cannot begin to explain to you how badly I have regretted this. 20k Horn Blew out and needed to be replaced 25k Radio blew out, needed to be replaced 30k AC Compressor stopped working and needed to be replaced. 40k Rear right window motor stopped working and needed to be replaced. Couldn't rotate the tires due to them wearing down weirdly and when rotated would cause a vibration. No matter what they did. Everything Rattles, and when I say everything, I mean, EVERYTHING. This will be my last VW ever, worst purchase I have ever made. Just leased a new GC and will be trading this in and never looking back. STAY AWAY.
Plus the OEM blades that came with the car were complete crap.
