I installed a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3's. This is a quick review of my thoughts on the handling and performance, so far. Wet Grip: Amazingly capable. Dry Grip: The tires grip reasonably well. Snow Grip: Amazing. Truly amazing. Ice Grip: grip was still very good. Low-speed Handling: I am fairly impressed with how these handle. High-speed Stability: Well, these are winter tires and feel well-suited to a sedan driven in a commuting style. Noise: None, so far. Comfort: Still, these are quite comfortable.
Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen Passat
I went with the Graf in my 95 passat glx. The graf has a cast iron impeller wheel. The stock one that was in there was plastic and some fins broke off when the pump failed
I picked them up on Oct. 1st. On the 3rd I washed the car, cleaned the windows with Invisible Glass, installed the new wipers and waited five days for it to rain to see how well they worked. Needless to say they work very well. It was raining fairly well when I left for work, one pass and the windshield was clear. No more skipping & chattering, but I suppose that would be true with most any new wipers.
I had it resurfaced and changed the pads to ATE ceramic pads. Now all my problem are solved.
I got the rear brakes done on my passat yesterday. They did a good job, and I'm pleased with my brakes.
just installed the power disks and mintex redboxes on my 90 b3 passat. i drive \"spirited,\" (fast) as well, and from what ive felt, and heard, these rotors are nice. the way i look at it, if the are good for the new beetle cup car and lupo cup car, theyre good enough for me.
I also have to recommend PBR/Axxis Deluxe Plus pads all the way around if you want a dustless pad with better than OEM performance.
I have a 2001 GLX 4 Motion with 50K, and so far haven't had any major repairs, replaced a switch in the dash and the front and rear brake pads.
You sure you really want a genuine VW windshield?? In my opinion the damn things are too weak and chip too easily! I think something is wrong with their glass manufacturing over there.
About 10,000 miles ago, I would have been more positive. But now I'm at 40,000 miles now, and I'm ready to dump my '99 GLX at the next problem. - 25,000: rear brakes (my $) - 30,000: front brakes (my $)
