Everything went together without much issue. I used a Luk OEM dual mass flywheel along with the TT-RS disc and pressure plate. Had to drill out the holes for the dowels on the pressure plate just a bit but other than that, no surprises.
Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen Tiguan
Bosch Icon
I just finish installing new rotors/pads on my 2019 R-Line Tiguan - O.E.M. Hardware gave up at 34K Miles.... I installed A.P.R. front and rear rotors... HAWK Front & Rear Performance pads
I had the same problem after installing the metal graf water pump. The problem is caused by the cheap thermostat that comes with the kit( assuming it is the graf kit). I put a stock OEM thermostat back on, and now the temps are fine.
Also, use the best filter you can afford and that means K&N (I hate that VW Mann 3D world junk).
I add a third vote for Bosch ICONs. Great blades that last quite some time
I happen to use Castrol in all my gasoline powered vehicles and have had no oil related issues. Given that VW promoted Castrol and, more importantly, that I prefer Castrol in general, I’m staying with Castrol when I can... I've had no oil loss in the Tig with Castrol and see no reason to switch to a different brand just because some MBAhole behind a desk made a profit driven decision to switch suppliers.
I've had a 2019 Tiguan S as a dealer loaner for six days and counting, while my 2017 Tiguan SEL is being worked on. Giti brand tires (wtf) aren't too noisy.
I just put the VW OEM roof racks on my 2020 Tiguan R_Line. They make quite a bit of noise. Noticeable at 60kmh.
I never use aftermarket coils, nor would I. I have taken out too many bad ones. In fact, a friend put a set of some parts store coils in his daughter's Tiguan, and two weeks later one died.
