Saves energy when braking. Its really satisfying to see the range go up when slowly braking downhill. This also saves your brake discs from wearing out fast, (just remember to use the brakes some times so they dont rust).

Paid $1,214 out the door. Alternator... No experience with cars and don’t feel comfortable installing myself. Based off local availability, I can’t imagine an option I would’ve been happier with. Of course it’s overpriced, but I can justify the spend based off how seamless the experience was.
I can't say much towards your brakes since I have a G30. However, I was quoted $1850 for my front M Sport brakes. I ended up doing it myself for $900 in parts only. It's not very complicated.
I got quoted well over a grand to do all 4 brake pads at the dealer. I went to a local garage and they did it for half
Just for front brakes/rotors at my dealership they wanted $1,100. I found a shop that is highly rated and they got it done, plus an oil change, for $550. So half the dealership and an oil change to boot. I’ll never go to the dealership again unless it’s an electronics issue.
$930 at a local BMW expert shop. That's front and rear, pads and rotors.
So far I have replaced an injector on cilinder 3 (which has/had missfires). This helped a bit but not everything, still white smoke and a little rough when cold.
Most cars with timing chains never need them replaced, its just badly designed timing chains like the BMW ones that do.
My brother in law’s 2020 BMW X3 with 37K miles just had to have his replaced. Was at traffic light and it shut down and never came back on. Towed to dealer and starter replaced.
My BMW 2020 X7 lease is up and I’d like to do a lease buyout. My right headlight is cracked and BMW won’t repair it. Can I still do a lease buyout with the damaged headlight or will I be charged for that? BMW gave me a repair cost of almost 9k.
