I'd take the F-150 I already have. It has 3-peak rated tires on it, heated seats, runs on regular, and in the off chance something breaks for some reason, parts are easy to find because they're everywhere. I can confirm it's a beast in the snow even in 2WD because of the tires.

Those Expeditions are tanks. That era Expedition and F-150 are some of the most reliable and tough vehicles on the road - with a couple exceptions.
My pops also has a 1999 Expedition 5.4 AWD/4x4. That this is also a tank, but has an exhaust leak (warped manifold).
Pros: solid rig, big inside

Seen a few comments about the 1.0 ecoboost wet belts. The post 2018 focus/fiesta moved to a timing chain on some cars (the only way to conclusively check this is by looking under the bonet)

I just dropped $1600 on a module for my 2022 ford etransit with 60800km.
The van also needs $1600 worth of tires because ev tires are apparently specifically made for carrying the extra weight of the vehicles and have reduced life expediency.
Pros: fuel $80/ month
