I got my 93 Accord up to 333,000 miles changing oil at 7500 miles, using the cheap synthetic blend Walmart crap, and engine failure isn't what killed the car. When I pulled the head at 250,000 miles to do a head gasket, the cylinders still had the cross hatching from the factory hone so I'm gonna say 7500 miles was plenty often enough. Changing oil more often than required is nothing but wasting money and buys you nothing in terms of reliability or longevity.

Pros: 333k miles, no engine failure

Cons: wasting money

2013 Accord V6... I change it every 7500 with full synthetic. Anyone changing before 5k is wasting their money.

I used to do it every 3k cuz I was pro overkill, then 5k, now I just do it when the car tells me to. So around 20% oil life

Pros: 20% oil life, less frequent

I do mine every 7k. 240k on my 2010 honda accord no issues. And 190 2016 honda accord no issues. And the 2016 has the weak oil rings.

ive had my 15 civic SI since march of 15. ive changed it every 5k and never had an issue with it. oil is cheap, engines and major repairs are expensive. id rather waste 50$ on an extra oil change or 2 a year, then need a 5k motor replacement.

I do mine every 5k on my 2010 Honda Accord 2.4L with synthetic oil. Engine oil is much cheaper than an entire engine.

Grip:

Finally, check your tire date codes. Tires older than 6 or 7 years are no longer suitable for riding on, as they have lost a lot of their elasticity and therefore grip.

I’m about to have to change my starter on my 2015 Honda for the fourth time. My battery dies every year. I’ve changed the ignition button twice.

Chips/cracks:

Mine cracked, waited 6 months for the windshiled to come in. Finally got it fixed. A week later it cracked again from a small rock. Just got it fixed again and now theres a small chip in it. The 23 HRV is so cheap i dont care to get it fixed anymore.

Cons: cracked repeatedly, poor quality, long wait for replacement
