when i bought my car, i paid 450 for a warranty that covers the windshield, it uses OEM glass replacement. I used said warranty probably 6 months into owning my new ridgeline and new OEM glass+install etc was $1787. Was the only time i felt like i bought something that is usually a rip off, that was totally awesome.

Make sure you get an OEM windshield. Probably pay extra but Ridgelines have an acoustic windshield and if you don’t specify your truck will be noticeably noisier.
My 2017 Touring glass is streaky and spotty even when fully clean. 8 years of crappy winters and dusty summers and pollen-filled springs have really made the glass age rapidly. Even during the first few years, it never seemed to get “clean enough” so that I didn’t notice the streaks and spots in full sunlight.
I got an OEM Honda windshield. Install was a few hours. Looks and works just as good as new.
Honda Glass is garbage. They break easily and get dusty/dirty super quick for some reason
My 2024 has so small many small chips in it. I drive the same commute without any issues for years with my old car and then bam. All of a sudden chips out of nowhere. The windshield quality sucks.
My factory windshield cracked in two different places within the first 4 months I had the car. I would say they were smallish rocks that caused the damage.
My 10 Gen had 2 rock spots in the windshield, never cracked.
OEM glass sucks and pits the easiest. Makes sense because my 07 with 78k miles has way worse glass than my others cars with double the mileage.
Nothing like having that factory H logo glass on a 21yo beauty
