my 2017 Passat got totaled in a accident this week, was at 205062 miles running strong off Liqui Molygen 5w-40.
I recently added Liqui Moly Cleaner to my car and bike. The difference is very much noticeable, engine sounds super smooth like new and pickup also improved.
Take liquimoly for instance, they only have certain oils that meet the VW 508 00 spec but many of their oils are the same weight. None of which will cause your engine to explode if you use them.
I definitely stop faster then most cars, I upgraded my break fluid to [Liqui Moly SL6 Dot 4 ](https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/liqui-moly/oil--chemicals---fluids/maintenance-chemicals/brake-chemicals/brake-fluid/371c20e7cfcc/liqui-moly-33-8-ounce-dpt-4-brake-fluid/lqm0/22238) I get a lot less resistance on pedal press after the fluid change.
“Engine flush” from liqui moly, follow the instructions and check again.
I have used it for the last few oil changes on my N55, can say it did seem to make the valve train a little bit quieter to my ear, and did see a small decrease in oil temperature, but I also did switch from 0w30 to 5w40 with the additive.
I would take a good look at the brake fluid and stale gasoline but the rest should be fine.
Been using this plus Liqui Moly Ceratec in my 2001 BMW E39 for the last 12 years (118,750 Miles) and it stoped my oil burning (1 qt every 15 hundred miles) to almost 0.
I had been using LM in our Euro vehicles for years until prices started to climb. I switched to the appropriate Mobil 1 oil earlier this year. There is not enough difference in test results to make me stay with LM once the price difference became as big as it was during my last TDI oil change.
It’s not any better than Walmart Castrol, just double if not triple the price. I’m 160k tuned!!!
