I had a sludge problem. I did some research and came upon Liqui Moly. I did a fresh filter change and added the sauce. 200 miles later the oil came out Black As a Moonless Night. Bye-bye sludge! On another car, I used the L-M 2037 Engine Flush. Sludge-no-more. This stuff flat Works!
Reviews of LIQUI MOLY engine flush
I performed the engine flush using LiquiMolly over the weekend. Got the engine to operating temp, poured the can into the engine and let it stand idle for 30 min. I did notice some amount of what appeared to be sludge come out.
It does the job but don't expect miracles from it. I've seen it do decent work on severly gunked up engines. Nothing magical, but it did clean up the valve train a little.
Pretty sure it was Liqui Moly, anyway it made a world of difference. The oil change and flush knocked a full second off my quarter mile time.
what have you tried so far? I had moderate success with Liqumoly Engine Flush, following directions on the bottle. At 100K miles, I went through 1qt after 4000 miles and i've cut it down to about half of that after the flush.
Only Liqui Moly was truly effective. The ordinary English flush wouldn't remove the sludge. It will just make the oil very black.
I just used it last week. It pulled some nice chunks of sludge that the filter caught. Works on gas or diesel.
Liqui moly engine flush and bring forward your oil service intervals.
Definitely buy a bottle of Liquid moly engine flush before oil change. It may not do miracles but it works wonders cleaning up the engine and maybe getting to the piston rings.
Liqui Moly engine flush can be beneficial if used from new to help resist oil crust building up in the oil control rings
