Braking:

A cheaper, easier option for a mild, yet noticeably improved brake upgrade would be to replicate the NB Sport brake package. Some later model NBs got larger stock brakes. Mazda just made extended brake caliper brackets to position the brake caliper further from the center of the wheel hub. This extended length allowed them to fit larger brake rotors and larger brake pads. Larger rotors means more surface area to dissipate heat, and more mass to absorb more heat. Bigger pads means they last longer.

The NB Sport caliper brackets fit on any 1990-2005 Miata. You simply reuse the stock brake calipers. All you need to complete the upgrade is the NB Sport package sized rotors and pads. I run this setup on my 1991 NA. DOT 4 fluid, NB caliper brackets, Centric rotors with StopTech pads. I regularly take the car to a low-speed track and have zero issues with braking performance. This setup performs exceptionally well, and is very cheap compared to any aftermarket brake caliper options.

I have a 2014 mazda3 with 131k miles. It's prob the most reliable car I've owned. I had the catalytic converter replaced, some suspension stuff, and then jus normal maintenance from there.

I personally do an old and filter every 6-7000 km. I do it so frequently because, 1) I do it myself, so cost is down and I make sure the job is done right. 2) the sky active engines are known for carbon buildup, so more frequent oil changes should help. 3) Longevity, I want to see 300,000 or more on the dash one day.

People like me on the other hand are going for synthetic oil and Mazda OEM filters but still need to get an oil change at 5000 miles.

An oil change with decent full synthetic is 30-40$ for 5 quarts + OEM filter for another 5-10$. It's relatively cheap to do every 6-8 months to know it always has decent oil, and no problems should arise.

Fog visibility:

I have the oem LED fog lights installed in my 2018 mazda 3 touring. I can't say much about the lines on road because it depends on what kind of paint your city uses. But I can say that it helps me in darker roads to see things like small animals and curb on the side walk

Chips/cracks:

I have a 2018 cx-5 and got a chip in my windshield after about a year. Just last week, I noticed yet another chip in the windshield. Frustrating to say the least.

Cons: multiple chips, frustrating

Chips/cracks:

In the first three months after buying my Mazda 3 I got 3 rock chips. Replaced the windshield, got another rock chip a week later.

Cons: multiple chips, chipped after replacement

Chips/cracks:

At least for NA the newer generation mazdas 2019+, which have an edgeless design are more prone then any previous generation to crack or spiderweb. I see it all the time on the Mazda 3, cx-5 and cx-30. My girlfriend's windshield cracked after sitting in the garage over a weekend. The new premium look is nice but the build issues.

Pros: nice premium look

Cons: prone to crack, build issues
