I've had the AS4 on my Mk7.5 GTI, but just about every review ranks the cheaper Conti as the better all around tire.

I highly recommend Michelin AS4. Excellent all-around tire.
Pros: excellent all-around tire
The tech balanced the tires. Found one tire was WAY out of balance 5oz. Told me something was wrong with the tire but he balanced it and put it back on. The shudder disappeared for the first 5kms and then came back even stronger.
Cons: shudder came back stronger
I became a Michelin guy when I had a VW and swapped from Goodyear Eagles and suddenly the car was plush on rough pavement.

went with stock michilin michelin primacy using the warranty (had to change out at 26k miles m3 LR AWD, warranty 45k)

We have these on one of our FWD cars, and the Bridgestone WeatherPeaks on another FWD car. If you deal with snow for a decent part of the year the WeatherPeaks are a phenomenal tire, basically a snow tire with a high wear rating, the Cross Climate 2 is OK in snow.

I have them on my 2020 civic and my wife’s 2020 CR-V. Love them. Road noise is a little loud. Had them for 2 years now getting close to 40 k on them and they still have lots of tread on them probably get 80k out of them if you don’t drive hard on them.
