We replaced the idle air control valve last week with an OEM Mitsubishi Evo 9 idle air control valve and the car has been running great. I drove it home today and it was running good on the drive back.
Once he rebuilt the transmission he said it will work better than the original. Used the car for 20,000 miles like nothing happened then sold it.
Had the timing belt replaced last year - didn't find a single crack on the old one despite it being 20 years old. Ditto for the serpentine belt. The dealer's head technician had told me that Mitsu's rubber quality is top notch - on par with Toyota, way better than Nissan's (his words). I didn't believe him until I saw the belts with my own eyes.

Timing belt could also be listed as “Mitsuboshi”. I’ve ran these belts on my 520rwhp jzx100 1jzgte vvti no problems at all.
+1 for Denso. Friend of mine got a used Mitsubishi alternator for his Murano with slightly higher Amp rating (doesn't matter, just means it will handle load better).

Auto transmission is bad for towing. Keep it in lower ratios towing up hills. If the torque converter starts to slip the whole thing shuts down.
weeping coolant from the head gaskets, wouldn't hold coolant pressure.
