This is why I will be installing a set of Z23 pads and rotors soon. They are a proven set that performs excellent with zero vibration.

It’s very easy to replace the pads diy in Brembos. I used the powerstop z26 as well. But the fronts squealed something awful (started at like 10k) on low mph slow deceleration and the brake dust on the stock pads suck.
Highly recommend using Powerstop pads, incredible price and great stopping power. Just installed the Z26 carbon ceramics on my Hellcat and she stops on a dime.
I’ve had them on my gmt800 for about a year. Great braking performance towing and mountain driving. But nothing on longevity yet.
Powerstop is pretty good, I am running their pads/rotors on my '14 civic and have had zero issues.
The original rotors had warped on the passenger side thanks to a sticking caliper pin. Decided to just get a complete kit off Amazon and these PowerStops were on sale. So far a month in and these are amazingly good brakes. They’ve broken-in nicely and have already prevented at least three serious avoidance maneuvers here in Denver. Best of all, no more brake dust on my wheels. Everything in the kit was in good condition and it installed in no time; definitely would recommend it.
Centric rotors and Power Stop Z23 pads. I drive hard daily and autocross with them and ZERO fade. With the right tires you can outbrake the ABS. Just make sure you bed them properly as it's different than other pads. Over a year on my car, close to 100 autocross runs, 10,000ish miles and still going strong.
I just replaced my rear pads (Powerstop) 3 weeks ago and they already have excessive rust. I know that rust is normal on all brake drums, but my front ones which are still original, don't show a tremendous amount of rust.
I changed my break pads themselves since the rotors can last a good while, PowerStop Z26. HIGHLY recommend. Great breaking and no break dust/squeal like the Brembos. I kept the Brembos for track days but for some spirited driving and daily, PoweersStops.
I recommend Power Stop ceramic pads and solid rotors. The 6 is an economy car by design. So, there are no practical or worthy trade offs to other types of rotors/material besides aesthetics.Since it's a 16', I highly recommend doing a full brake job even if your mileage is low. If I am correct, the 2016 model has an electronic brake that requires a service mode to be able to do the job(refer to manual since I can't help you on that).
