Just picked up our second Model Y, had our first one for over a year and 20k+ miles and the only things it needed was tires (put new wheels and tires on), and cabin air filters change (took about 15 minute in my driveway).
My 21 MYLR delivered last September, and I’ve put on 23k mi since. Have had to replace windshield, tires, and got the trailer hitch installed. The road noise bothered me at first, but when I replaced the tires (larger all weather) that has significantly improved.
I got a brand new windshield on my M3 for $100. My insurance took care of the rest. I went through Tesla because I didn’t want to be dealing with this same exact BS that they are trying to run on you.
Model3 in San Diego. Got it replaced and calibrated by Tesla service for $943.
My CPO had a fairly pitted windshield on delivery. Luckily it was replaced for delamination, the new one is holding up OK.
Replaced the windshield twice in a matter of months after delivery. It was an extremely frustrating experience.
Replaced my windshield 3 times within a year. First one was by rock chip from Amazon truck. Second one was by dead bird from the tree. Third one was by homeless in downtown SF.

I had two windshield cracks before I reached 20k miles.
I definitely have numerous chips. I thought maybe it was the aerodynamics of the Model S, but it might be the glass.
