I just did mine (92 3vz) and had a lot of trouble with getting the flare fittings to seal on an aftermarket filter. Bought the Toyota OEM with bracket for $35 and it was a success.
Reviews of OEM Toyota parts For Business

Just recently replaced the fuel filter on my Toyota pickup and damn. Didn’t think I was gonna feel much of a difference but now the truck feels like it has more acceleration. I definitely felt it on the highway.
Toyota filter 6 bucks and Walmart Mobil one 26 for 5 quarts do it for less than 50 bucks
The price on a brand new Toyota OEM battery for the 2019 SE nightshade edition is 445$ish about 500$ after taxes. It’s designed for the stop start in the vehicle, it’s also backed by a 84 month warranty so you’ll never have to pay for a new battery for 84 months. When it comes to the battery, I would always go with OEM and have a good warranty on that battery as I do not want to deal with having to shell out another 200-300 dumpster autozone battery that has 3 year warranty or less.
I swapped my FJ cruiser stock front brakes for the larger GX460/V8 4Runner discs, calipers, and shields, as well as adding stainless lines as a nice upgrade package.
I got an aftermarket windshield for around $300 and have had no problems with the camera
For newer vehicles I am in the camp of: if you want the car to last a long time use the 5K change interval with the exception being in the first 10 K. For the first 10K miles I would do 3 changes (not just 2) to be sure any debris/material from the break in process is cleaned/ cleared out quickly before it can potentially metastasize into a bigger issue (much later on);
I buy factory filter from the Toyota parts department and install it myself. I found the aftermarket brands restrict the airflow.
Alternator has been replaced 2 times within the year battery is also new and the odds of 2 brand new faulty alternators is pretty slim.
Just from a bit of personal experience and a few friends stories, the 2ZR-FE. For a motor used in so many of their cars (2009-2012 Corolla and 2010-2015 Prius) you wouldn't think they'd be blowing head gaskets at all. I have the same motor in my Scion xD and blew the HG at 150k miles.
