On the V40 its still very easy.

Have you tried getting them directly from volvo? They are pretty on par with blades in my area.
It might be your tires. I have a 2020 XC60 with new summer and winter tires and it\u2019s an absolute treat to drive in any weather. My 2021 S60 on the other hand, has near-end-of-life all seasons and it performs great on dry road but awful on anything wet.
I love using mine! Oregon here and I use it in the fog and snow.
The other issues (and the warning) do not seem normal, but at least my S90L 2026 has condensation in the headlights from day 1 (literally). The user guide says it is normal.
I am going to swap to ceramic pads at the next change as the semi metallic are eating the rotors.
The only real issue I had was that there was rust underneath from the NY winters and I eventually needed a new muffler and catalytic converter, which was pricey, so I’d just check underneath if you are in a snowy area.
I got my EX30 about 4 months ago and the wipers that came with it already damaged from the Dubai heat. Volvo quoted me $150 to replace them, which feels crazy if they’re just the same weak wipers.

Tuxmats - coverage on the Volvo mats is poor if you live in a snowy area.
