that was all covered
After determining the root cause of the noise being the A/C compressor, I did indeed cut the belt right off...Success! The screeching sound stopped immediately.
He fixed it by replacing the ac compressor with a Denso compressor and replacing the condenser as well. No ac issues for the past 8 years.
I have a 2015 OB, just surpassed 200k. This car has gone coast to coast, up to the Great Lakes, across to PA, through the desert, everywhere, all for DOG SHOWS and sports. The past 6 weeks I had two trips to TN, one to MO, and one to KY. It has hair in it that’ll never get out again, but I bought this vehicle to haul them as well as equipment and people. Worst thing to happen to it is my AC went out this year (I live in Texas) and I had to get a new compressor for it.
It unfortunately hasn’t been smooth sailing all the way, suffering from well known problems with the early Stellantis E-CMP platform (such as the 11kW Mahle Supplied onboard charger and Valeo AC compressor). These issues were largely covered by Stellantis excluding a labor cost to rewrite the CCU software.
Other than that the car has been rough on tires, due to the FWD platform with less weight on the front wheels, it also needed a sway bar end replacing but has passed it’s 2nd inspection at 5 years old.
Bad ac compressor can make that noise even if it still work take off the belt and see what happens
Everything else has been like the AC stopped working so they cleaned the radiator, replaced the compressor on a different occasion, engine wiring harness was corroded in one spot, we needed a new charge port because the circuit got struck by lightning while it was charging, we had some electrical components that were fried in that incident replaced at a later point, etc.
just paid OTD $1200 for a POS model y ac compressor that lasted 60k miles.
I bought a 2016 Fiesta ST New. I actually went to the dealer and special ordered one. The car just clicked 50k miles and the ac compressor died.
Ford Territory 1st gen. Biglang nawalan ng aircon halfway pa-baguio. Wala pa 3 yrs sira agad compressor.
