BMW coolant is down right awesome stuff.
Owner reviews for antifreeze
I've been using it for years and it works fine.
I have Ducati Streetfighter V4 S and just ordered this Motul Organic+... seems to have compatible spec and better boiling temp like you said.... makes sense in my book.
Flush your cooling system and replace the green coolant with Valvoline Zerex G48, it's what's inside BMW's coolant jugs at the dealer.
My mechanic just switched my antifreeze to “Prestone yellow”. He said it’s for cars with high mileage (150k and higher) he said it’s softer on our old hoses and such! Car is running great.
I used Valvoline Zerex Asian Blue Vehicle Antifreeze/Coolant in my 1st gen anytime I needed to drain the radiator because you can buy it anywhere. 50/50 is handy for top offs but if I was doing a full flush I got concentrated and mixed with distilled water which comes out a good bit cheaper.
You'll be surprised how subaru's super coolant will pretty much have no issue for basically your cars lifetime unless you see visible problems.
Petronas green coolant and change them when they become clear. Last time my coolant lasts about 3 years in my Kancil. That stuff will eat rust if there's rust in cooling system. Other advantage: it's petronas.easy to buy you can find in any Petronas in case need to top up mid journey.
Checked out in Amazon for G12EVO coolant and found - Bosch Tropical Coolant | 1:3 Red : Seems ok based on ratings and reviews, but again, 'G12' is not mentioned hence unsure. \[Rs. 268 for just 1L\]
So you don't mix coolants. BMW coolant uses embedded teflon or something. Dump in the wrong coolant and you have to run (I kid you not) laundry detergent through the entire system several times, flush the shit out of it several times then replace every single rubber hose.
