I use Powerstop Drilled and slotted. Been the best for not developing a squeak and glaze.

I use Akebono brake pads. Little expensive but it's the best
I prefer Hawk Truck pads. Been using them on my tree for 20 years. Get good life out of them. Check pad wear. Mine squeak under light braking when dusty.
People can talk all they want but I had a 2017 A4 bought at 32k miles and sold with 94k 2.5 years later in 2022 and it was by far the most reliable and hassle free car I ever had. Nothing but routine maintenance, in that period I didn’t even have to change the brakes.
I recently-ish replaced my pads and rotors with the Powerstop Z26 stuff. Works fine, and makes a lot less dust. Can't say I've noticed a huge difference in braking force.
Ran this set for the last 3 years, about 20,000 miles. They look and work great with factory calipers (I painted mine while I was installing).
I installed Carbotech XP10 brake pads in the front, and they seem to work really well. When I drive the car, it will squeal sometimes when I’m not even pressing the brakes - when this happens, I can make it stop with any pressure on the brakes. I like the idea of keeping these brakes in because I like the added stopping power, and I like being ready for the track at all times.
Been using EBC Yellow Stuff for about a month now and love em. At the same time I got Continental summer tires put on as well. It's crazy how much more braking power this set up gas, however you may have to get used to the firmness, took me a couple weeks to soft stop again without a minor jerk when finally stopped, and I notice tire nose more now as well.
I have good experience with Textar pads, both epad and normal ones. Currently I have ATE rotors, but they had to be resurfaced because of warping, so no recommendation from me
the brakes on the VB are pretty bad with zero bite in the first few inches of brake travel. I’ve had the past 2 generations on WRXs for OEM brake comparison. Ordered a full set of EBC Ulitmax2 OEM replacement pads to help a bit.
